Rasheca Jackson is a dual-certified nurse practitioner (FNP-C, PMHNP-BC) and a provider at Sanevi Health Solutions. That experience still drives how she practices today: thorough, skeptical of easy answers, and always looking at the whole chart.

In her own words

What's different about how you approach a new patient?
I assume nothing. A diagnosis you were given five years ago is a starting point for questions, not the finish line. If the original picture was wrong, I'll say so — and we'll figure out the right one together.
How do you think about medication?
Directly. I'll tell you exactly what a medication can realistically do, what it won't do, and what side effects to watch for. Medication is one tool — sleep, routine, stress, and your support system matter just as much, and I'll be honest with you about that too.
Why does your family practice background matter?
Because the mind and body aren't separate files. Thyroid issues can look like depression. Medication interactions get missed when no one reads the full chart. As a family nurse practitioner, I'm trained to read all of it.
What should parents of teen patients expect?
To be treated as a partner, not a bystander. I'll keep you involved and informed while still making your teen feel safe enough to be honest with me.

What do FNP-C and PMHNP-BC mean?

Rasheca holds dual certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C) and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). A PMHNP is an advanced practice nurse licensed in Illinois to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medication — the same evaluation and medication-management care you'd expect from a psychiatrist, informed by full-scope family practice training.
