LaTonya Robinson is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and the founder of Sanevi Health Solutions. She built the practice around a simple idea: people asking for psychiatric help deserve unhurried visits, plain language, and a provider who follows through between appointments.

How she practices

Care starts with a full-hour evaluation — your history, what you've already tried, what worked, and what you want to be different. From there you build a plan together. Medication when it's the right tool, honest conversation about tradeoffs when it isn't, and supportive therapy woven into visits rather than bolted on.

Follow-ups are typically 30 minutes, long enough to catch side effects early and adjust carefully. When it helps, she coordinates directly with your therapist, primary care physician, or school — and for established psychiatric patients, everyday primary care concerns like labs and medication interactions can be handled in the same place.

What is a PMHNP, and how is it different from a psychiatrist?

A psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is an advanced practice nurse licensed in Illinois to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medication — the same evaluation and medication-management care you'd expect from a psychiatrist. Read more about what a PMHNP does.
